This is a digital painting. I also do fine art portraits and pinups using watercolors, colored pencils and other mixed media on board. You can see examples of these on my website here: www.barbarajensenart.com
You can do what you like with your images....Print them out at home or bring to a print store to have it printed. Have items made using the Print On Demand sites like Zazzle and Cafe Press. T-Shirts, Mugs, hats...the list is endless. Make greeting cards or just print out and frame...even have it printed out on wrapped canvas ready to hang!
The photos you send are the MOST important piece to creating these portraits. Photos that do not meet the following criteria will result in a lower quality finished product. If your photos do not meet the following criteria my final work will not be guaranteed. I will work with you any way I can to get the best quality pics for your piece.
The bigger the photo the better. Photos that are low resolution, dark or blurry will result in a loss of detail.
Please feel free to send multiple photos if you have them, the more options I have, the better the end result will be.
PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS - My aim when producing your painting is to create something that you can treasure for many years to come. To do this, one of the most important things in commissioning your painting is to insure I can work from a good photograph. I cannot emphasize enough that 'the better the photo, the better the finished painting.
QUALITY - The very first thing I look for in a photograph is the quality. It is highly important that the photo is sharp and in focus, without any graininess or a lot of shadow. And it must be a large photo. Sadly, I am unable to work from blurry or very small photos.
Please let me know if you have any questions, I would be happy to answer them. :)
